Please find below information gathered following a visit at Korczowa (Poland) border crossings:
Biggest border crossing between Ukraine and Poland. Important for movement of both persons and goods, even before the emergency.
Polish “simplified procedure” for customs are only valid for Korczowa and Dorohusk, subsequently making them designated border crossings for humanitarian assistance by the Polish Government.
Before trucks arrive at the border crossing, they must go through a “buffer zone” in MOP Hruszowice (highway A4) or Chelmy (national road 94).
The buffer zones were created in order to reduce congestion at the border crossing. It essentially is a big parking where trucks are standing by before approaching the border crossing
The system was adjusted to allow for “priority” registration for trucks carrying humanitarian aid and allowing them to join the dedicated green lane.
Detailed instructions for drivers may be found attached.
